Dan Myers, President

Dan and his wife Jo Ann are from Atlanta and have owned property on the lake since 1998. They have lived on the lake in Star Creek since 2009. Jo Ann has previously served on the LBRCA Board.

Prior to Dan’s retirement, he spent 37 years in the Ophthalmic Pharmaceutical industry.

 

Having enjoyed twenty years of lake memories with friends and family, Dan is committed to maintaining the quality experience of Lake Blue Ridge for future generations.

Steve Kibler, Vice President

Steve and his wife, Carolyn, purchased their property at Antioch Point on Lake Blue Ridge in 2018 and moved there full-time in June 2021.    Steve is originally from Michigan and spent the majority of his life in Atlanta after high school in New Orleans.   He dedicated 30 years to working in the restaurant industry, primarily in roles such as V.P. for Business Development at Freshens in Atlanta, and finally retired from Panera Bread in 2023.

Steve enjoys golf, pickleball, hiking the Rockies with his daughters, while spending the majority of time on Lake Blue Ridge.

Teresa Joel, Secretary

Teresa and her husband moved to Atlanta in 1987 where she built her career in technology throughout the 1990s. In 1999, they purchased a second home on Lake Blue Ridge in Necowa Cove and their family has enjoyed escaping to the lake in the spring and summer months. With the successful growth of Blue Ridge throughout the past two decades, Teresa feels it’s more important than ever to commit to serving the Blue Ridge community and preserving the environmental goals of LBRCA.

Rene Bidez, Treasurer

Rene and his wife, Teresa, reside on Lake Blue Ridge where they have made their home on a property that has been in his family for more than 60 years. Rene is a life-long resident of the Blue Ridge area with the exception of an 8-year period when he worked for the Internal Revenue Service after graduating from the University of West Georgia. In 1986, he returned and opened his accounting firm, E. Rene Bidez, CPA, where he still works today! Rene served on the Board of Directors of the Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association as well as the Fannin County Chamber of Commerce for 35 years. In his earlier years, Rene spent much of his time on the water; competing at the state and regional levels as a water skier. Today, he enjoys a simpler pace and can often be found cruising around the lake in his Pontoon boat.

Scott Stoughton

Scott and his wife, Chaya, have lived in Blue Ridge since January of 2022 and are currently full time residents with a home in Mountain Tops.  They have two grown children, Sara and Ryan who both live in Florida. Other family members include two Labradoodles (Perry and Duncan) who are often seen on their boat. Scott has worked in the marketing and advertising industry for the past 37 years including Director of Sales North America with Pirelli Tire Company and Chief Marketing Officer for 11 years with TBC Corporation, publicly known as Midas, Big O Tire and NTB. Scott looks forward to having the opportunity to bring his experience, enthusiasm, and creativity to continue the great work being done by the LBRCA.

Bubba Gibbs

Bubba Gibbs has lifelong roots in Blue Ridge, having grown up in the community and graduated from Fannin County High School. His family’s connection to Lake Blue Ridge spans generations, beginning when his father purchased property on the lake in 1967.

Bubba currently serves the community as a Blue Ridge City Council Member and works as the Work-Based Learning & Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator for Fannin County High School. Deeply invested in the future of the area, Bubba is dedicated to preserving the natural beauty, health, and community spirit of Lake Blue Ridge for generations to come.

Rick Glueckert

Rick Glueckert is a retired senior executive, event planner and entrepreneur with experience in Healthcare, as well as a diversified background in corporate management, budget controls, and government regulation at the state and local levels. The last twenty- five years of working life concentrated on building a network of ice-skating rinks world-wide for seasonal family recreation.
He moved from the Atlanta area to Blue Ridge, Ga in 2010 where he resides with Cindy, his wife of 52 years. He is the past President of the Humane Society of Blue Ridge, where he served for 6 years. Rick and his wife continue as avid volunteers with service to LBCA, North Georgia Veterans Assistance Foundation (NGVAF), and the Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association. Rick and Cindy have two grown children and four grand children.

Emily Krueger

Emily has been a full-time Blue Ridge resident and business owner of 34th° Wine Merchant since 2022.

 

Originally from a small lake community in Northern Michigan, Lake Blue Ridge was an important feature that drew her to make this area her home. An avid enjoyer of water activities of all kinds, Emily, her husband Jason, and their 3 dogs spend time on, in, or near Lake Blue Ridge nearly every day.

 

Emily previously served the Blue Ridge business community as a Blue Ridge Business Association Board Member, supports several local philanthropic organizations, and is passionate about working with the LBRCA to foster the health, beauty, and sustainability of Lake Blue Ridge and this community.

Ed Stinson

Ed and his wife, Connie, have owned a home in the Blue Ridge area since 2013 and have lived here full time since 2020.

 

Ed is the founder/owner of a global employee relocation management company headquartered in Roswell GA.

 

They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren all living within 90 minutes of Blue Ridge. Ed looks forward to working with others to ensure the safety and beauty of Lake Blue Ridge for all who love and enjoy it.
